Phil Anselmo receiving much criticism from other musicians after his action at the Dimebash 2016 Lucky Strike Live in Hollywood California On January 22. In the event he did snapping Nazi salute and shouting "white power". Through this action, he has come under fire from the fans of metal and other metal musicians, among other Robb Flynn, Scott Lan, and Sbastian Bach.
After receiving much criticism, Phil Anselmo expressed remorse through a video uploaded. In the video he apologizes for the incident that happened and he understand if people are critical of him. He hopes people take offense at the incident in order to give him another chance, he said he only intends to make a joke.
But, Phil Anselmo act makes people angry and hate. So that this incident reflects poorly on his current band ,Down. Fortarock event to be held on June 2016 decided to cancel invite "Down" in the event for reason there was no place for the perpetrators of racism.
